Custom motorcycle Vincent, built 2019-2020.
The undercarriage is completely invented and made by Golubchikov, except, perhaps, the tires and shock absorber.
The pads for the homemade caliper are also original, the base is cut out with a laser, the pads are made of friction pads.
Phil Vincent (1908 – 1979) was a British motorcycle designer and manufacturer. The founder of Vincent Motorcycles. His projects have influenced the development of motorcycles around the world. Phil Vincent made the world's first sports bikes and put a lot into the power and speed characteristics of his motorcycles.
All motorcycle fasteners (bolts and nuts) are made of stainless steel. Each nut on a motorcycle has a blind welded shape.
Vincent made motorcycles for both civilian and military use. The ideology is familiar to us from the "Urals" and "Dnepr". These motorcycles should be repaired without the help of mechanics in the field with a minimum set of tools and improvised means.
The work of Zillers Motorcycles was properly evaluated. At the Moscow Custom&Tuning Show, this gorgeous motorcycle won first place in the Freestyle class by a large margin. In the fall of 2019, Vincent went to a Grand custom show in Yokohama, where the entire color of Asian and global customizing is gathered. Won 2 main prizes - for The Most Complex and The Most Detailed Work.
It took us one year of work to create this project. For our company, this is more than a motorcycle, it is a love and desire passion and willingness to surprise and create something new by putting all your strength into it.
The motorcycle is based on a replica engine from the 1950 Vincent HRD motorcycle. Unlike the original, the replica has an increased volume from 1000 CC to 1200 CC and an increased compression ratio.
Despite the perfection of all the details, this motorcycle has one unquestionably main node around which everything else was created. We are talking about the engine, of course.
The engine was assembled by an English company. This beautiful engine was bought in 2012 and was waiting for it's glory moment for seven years.
In the Spring 2018, our workshop decided to create a custom motorcycle around it in order to show the workshop's capabilities at Russian and foreign custom shows, and further participate in the World Customizing Championship.
Sometimes, the beauty of the original motorcycles suffered in favor of speed. Therefore, we made the main sight in the construction of the motorcycle on the purity of lines and visually correct geometry. We always put interesting technical solutions in the construction of our custom bikes. We have designed and manufactured absolutely all elements of the motorcycle.
The main materials for creating all the elements were aluminum and stainless steel. The highlight of this project are the wheels with brake discs and calipers integrated in the center of the wheel.
A copy of the 1954 Vincent Black Shadow engine decorated the interior for several years, until the owners decided that Dmitry Golubchikov would be able to make a decent setting for such a diamond.
One of the many British motor manufacturers in the past appeared 11 years before the Second world war and stoped 11 years after. You can't buy such an engine in a store. It has been made to order for several years. These engines are suitable for driving, in Europe they are put on motorcycles and roll thousands of kilometers.
Business card of the motor-covers turnkey plumbing size. Below them were windows for checking and adjusting valves, procedures that had to be performed very frequently on the Vincent.
Another cover provides quick access to adjust the clutch. The engine is structurally the same, sometimes even used original parts. The working volume is increased by 1200 cm3 and the combustion chambers are adapted to modern gasoline.
Therefore, the nuts and bolts are a minimum number of sizes to be controlled by a small "family".
Due to the width of the caliper disk, it was necessary to narrow down, which caused some difficulties.
The front suspension is a Duolever with a slightly modified shock absorber location and lever operation scheme.
Brake fluid enters the caliper through a complex system of tubes, hoses, and cavities.
In order to keep two identical levers on the steering wheel, a system was made that, when the lever is pressed, transmits the force to the front brake cylinder, which is also located under the left foot.
The front and rear brake cylinders are located under the pilot's left foot, and if the rear brake cylinder is controlled by a standard foot push on the lever, then the construction of the front mechanism is much more complicated.
Vincent is notable not only for its masterly chassis, but also for its very rare engine.
There are two aluminium tanks, one for oil and one for petrol with some electronic parts hidden between them.
The kickstarter foot is made by hand from a bar "Bulgarian". Its length was set experimentally to be minimal, but sufficient for kick starting the engine.
The pre-assembled exhaust consists of six parts that are inserted into each other without screeds.
Stainless steel composite frame, pipe to pipe. The brake and clutch cables are hidden in it.
The inspiration of the project was the aviation theme, which we tried to convey through some ideas. The project took us a year of hard work to finish this motorcycle. The project was based on a chassis and engine from a 2016 BMW R nineT bike.
The entire body kit of the motorcycle is made of aluminum. The front part around the headlight and behind the front wheel is 3D printed.
The front headlight is made specifically for the entire design and has a Central lens with an angel eye around it. Optics is Japanese sourced.
At the rear of the motorcycle is a retractable glove compartment with integrated brake light and turn signals. In the glove compartment there is a socket for charging the motorcycle and phone.
The redesigned exhaust and exclusive intake system required additional customization on the dynostand. Proper engine setup is like cherry at the end of this project.
The main difficulty of the project was the color selection. Body kit was repainted three times until we achieved the desired result.
In 2019, Zillers Motorcycles started working on the BMW R nineT project.
Wheels are 18 inch machine chiseled. They follow design of aircraft turbines.
The front and rear suspensions are converted to pneumatic, which makes it possible to lower the motorcycle directly on the asphalt without a sidestand. To do this, an amplifier is made inside the body kit that takes all the weight on itself.
The hydraulic system of the cartridges is preserved in the front racks, which makes it possible to maintain the correct operation of the shock absorbers.
The rear pneumatic shock absorber has an additional circuit for pumping in the opposite direction, and thus replaces the hydraulic damper. There are six buttons on the steering wheel to control the air suspension.
The main clutch and brake machines, as well as the control panels located on the steering wheel, are CNC machined.
Each Customizer wants to build their motorcycle on the most individual engine, on the rarest engine, so that their motorcycle is not just beautiful, but also exclusive.
We changed the engine itself, changed the compression ratio so that the engine could run on gasoline and start easily.
In Speedway motorcycles single-cylinder engines are working on methanol or, in other words, alcohol.
The motorcycle's front suspension system is called duolever. There is no rear suspension. This frame is called dry or hardtail.
For a long time we were thinking about what engine to choose for building a motorcycle to participate in the "freestyle" category of the Russian customizing championship.
Our idea was to build a motorcycle similar to the boardtrackers of the 30s of the 20th century.
We decided to build the whole motorcycle out of stainless steel with wood elements and copper tubes.
To the engine, we added a shift box from the Triumph' 1964 motorcycle. The transmission has four speeds and a kickstarter. Normally Speedway engine starts from a push, while in our project, this engine starts with a kick-starter.
The power system was the Dellorto carburetor, specially designed to run on gasoline.
All wooden elements of the motorcycle are made of oak and are handmade. Front wheel 23', rear 18', tires «Barum».
This motorcycle became the Champion of Russia in 2017 and took second place in the category "cafe racer" at the AMD World Championship in Cologne in 2018.
The exhaust system is made and located as original as possible under the engine, so it can be seen from all sides.
The rear wing, all fuel and oil system tubes are made of copper.
The engine has a dry crankcase and an oil tank for oil intake.
Our choice fell on a rather beautiful and visually suitable for our design engine from a Speedway motorcycle Jawa' 1985.
This bike is a real beauty.
Any creative person wants is recognition, and for any Customizer, recognition is winning the World Cup.
The heart of this motorcycle is a single-cylinder engine from the Yamaha SR 400.
Above the engine is a tank consisting of two halves. One half contains gasoline, the other oil and is an oil tank.
The highlight of this project is the visual absence of springs.
In 2017 we started creating this motorcycle, and in October 2018 it became the World Champion in the most difficult FREESTYLE category.
In order to win the World Championship in Customizing, you need to build the best custom bike, which should include all the selection criteria.
The engine is equipped with the smallest compressor from the Subaru Pleo car.
The compressor is driven by toothed belts with a loss of transmission twice.
In the middle of the set of pulleys, an additional belt is built in, which rotates the oil pump in the additional cooling system of the compressor.
The frame around the engine is made in such a way that the compressor is part of it and connects two pipes.
The engine is powered by a Keihen carburetor from a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The front suspension is a mixture of two systems from the lever fork girder and doubler, where the control and rotation of the fork occurs by pushing the rods, which are both a lever.
The rear suspension has two levers at the ends of which there are hinged tips.
The levers are attached to two fists in which large-diameter hub bearings are located, thus forming a hollow hub that can be viewed through and through.
In the front and rear suspension, the role of the spring is performed by bearing axles or torsion bars working on twisting.
The torsion bars are located the clutch cut from trebonice.
The frictions carry out parasitic friction between them, thereby preventing the motorcycle from swaying when riding.
All pipelines for oil, gasoline and brake fluid are made of stainless steel.
Front and rear wheels are 21 inch with rare Firestone tires.
When viewed from above, the steering wheel with reverse levers and a humped tank form the silhouette of a bull.
The spokes of the wheels and a large number of small elements are covered with Nickel, which gives a noble Golden hue.
The ignition system is installed from a four-stroke snowmobile.
